Spend time on the beaches of Lake Michigan. You won’t find high rise buildings along the shores of the National Park. Instead, you’ll enjoy the sand of the dunes, the sound of the waves and sea gulls, and you’ll take in the awesome views of Sleeping Bear Dunes and the Manitou Islands. Artists—bring your easels!

Plan an evening enjoying a famous musician. The new Betsie Valley Trail now extends from Frankfort to Thompsonville. If you’re a biking enthusiast—you’ll love the peaceful ride through the woods and along the shores of Crystal Lake.

Check our Area Interests Page for information on other activities such as wineries, boat rentals, golf courses, restaurants, charter fishing and more.
